Many librarians called & said, "Now that you solved our problems with DATE DUE labels with your ergonomic hand-held labelers & 'super-no-res' adhesive, what can you do about the "NEW" label problem?" "Instead of staying on the flat of the book for 3-4 weeks, it needs to stay on the spine for up to a year. We need to tell at a glance exactly 'how new' it really is, & last, but not least, it needs to remove cleanly & easily from polyester & other library asset surfaces with a plastic label peeler(pls-1). "

It took a while, but the answer became our snr2212YR-NEW n21 or 'n21' as it is known. This product rocketed to out-sell all other NEW labels combined. It stays on the spine for a year or more, yet removes easily & cleanly with just a PLS-1 plastic peeler. The final requirement was met by the Total Library Labeler which will imprint the day, &/or month, & year of arrival, as it applies & affixes the label to the spine. Most use only month & year (08/2013) on the label.
